Rescue ONE Connector Boats is a manufacturer of specialty aluminum rescue
and special response boats employing a patented railing system that
enables our boats to connect. Rescue ONE is a leading supplier to fire,
rescue, and law enforcement agencies throughout the country. We are a
growing small business located in Huntsville,
AL.
Job
Summary
Responsible
for the installation of mechanical components on Rescue ONE boats and
trailers. Installs trailer
runners, steering systems, and remote controls for outboard motors.
Mount portable fire pumps and attach pump accessories.
Water tests completed boats and fire pumps.
Operates forklift to load/unload motors, boats, and accessories.
Eventual
responsibilities to include installation of outboard motors and jet
drives, along with associated cables and wiring.
Install a variety of components such as lights, radios, GPS, etc.
Other
duties as required.
Skills
and Experience
Mechanical
experience is a must. Marine rigging experience a plus.
Intimately familiar with proper general shop fasteners (bolts, rivets,
lock nuts, screws) and tools (drills, saws, wrenches, powered screw
drivers, pneumatic tools) use. Able to follow instructions and be an
independent thinker to solve problems.
Very detail-oriented with excellent work ethic and able to work as
a part of a team. Must be self
motivated and able to excel with little supervision.
Understanding of outboard motors and 12V electronics including basic
troubleshooting desired but not required.
Physical Requirements
Must
be able to lift up to 60 lbs. Position requires grasping, writing,
standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, crawling, repetitive motions,
bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. Must
be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to complete tasks.
